The only time Iv seen a trans character was in the apartment game but I normally don't go looking for them, might be the reason

Games have tags. filter out the futa games.

People like what they like.

Lot of men like incest and loli too and they don't even think about fucking a real child exceptionally if it's theirs... There is no real life futa and futa lovers mostly got disgusted by a real shemale porn.
There is a big line between the real world and the fantasy-online-animated world that we will (or would) never break

I wouldn't say it's reaching the same level of mainstream as incest. It for sure has become more popular, but i think the main reason it's becoming more prevalent or more visible is because it's less taboo than incest. I mean, for one trans people aren't illegal (at least not in most developed countries) while incest is very illegal, so people are less ashamed to admit they like a woman with dick than, i don't know, i want to fuck my daughter/sister/mom.

Yep, that's an instant no unless it's made clear it's completely avoidable. Like that character is normal female or just won't appear - like an option at the start

I'm good with futa but it annoys me when a game's labelled as "futa" and the characters are actually trans. I typically don't mind either too much as long as they're clear about it and don't mistake one for the other.

I have been playing Adult games longer than I would like to admit, and it accured to me as I see lots of new games that feature alot of
Futa/Trans characters or themes to ask; do you think that Futa is the new Incest in aduult gaming? When I got into the adult gaming lets say hobby (addiction is not as nice to say) incest games were all the rage. Incest hasn't really gone away, it's just more heavily coded than before. Credit card companies used to just be a money service, for whatever reason they've decided that they're now in charge of getting us degenerates into heaven.

TBH anything with futa should get the gay tag, especially if unavoidable. One of the few good things WVM did good was have a trans LI be able to be made as regular female from the start instead.

I've noticed a similar trend in the games I've been playing lately, it's like the lines between different genres and themes are becoming more blurred, and I'm not sure how I feel about it, but it's definitely something I've been thinking about a lot.
