The similarities are clear but what do you think?

I personally believe that Eternum is better.

Eturnun is better... There is the whole hinting at it being some other realm rather than just a digital world... But it does seem to be inspired by it...

eternum is way better, the humor is just fucking dope

eternum is definitely better. ready player one's author definitely is lacking in terms of writing ability as seen from the sequel

Eternum is way bettter i forgotten all about ready steady one will have to rewatch it not sure what it about unlike Eternum.

Being a game it gets a lot more leeway. It is certainly a lot more enjoyable.

Eternium is what Ready Player One wants to be when it grows up

Eternum is way more amazing. Every update I am just completely swept along the story, wanting to know more and how things are going to turn out.
Even without the sex I would want to play through it.

Ready Player One is built around nostalgia. The movie was 90s nostalgia, but even the book was mostly just about 80s nostalgia. Eternum takes the VR aspect in a different enough direction that I wouldn't really compare the two despite their similar concepts.

The technology in ready player one wasn't that great for what they were portraying. People were wearing vr headsets with no way to transit full body movement in the game. Completely impractical. Full body vr tech only works when the mind and the game can interact. Ready player one lacked the imagination to portray that effectively.

Eternum is 10x way better than Ready player one. Eternum world is diverse and feels more alive while Ready Player One is just some Fortnite kid wet dreams.

Eternum is so much better, it shouldn't be insulted by mentioning it it the same breath as Spielberg's infantile Ready Player One. My apologies for venting, but I love Eternum as much as I hated RP1.
