Is it just me? i believe a good/unique art style is an important requirement when i look for H-games to play, although it is quite subjective what could considered good, i dont find the more simple or "moe" art styles to be appealing. They are understandable, however, given their ease of drawing

Image quality is important to me, especially since the technology allows for some pretty extraordinary images.
I just played "Alienated (0.2)" by Kalin, and the character images are magnificent.

Of course. It's a visual medium, the visuals are a major part of conveying the game's contents.

I can forgive poor story much more easily than poor visuals.

I almost always a no to Japanese style art with a few exceptions. I don't mind cartoonish or AI stuff but I do look at the art and tags before DL anything.

I don't need it to be unique persay. I'm more partial to realistic art styles. I don't specifically look for games based on art styles but I've definitely turned a game or two off because I didn't vibe with it

Its a very important aspect considering its porn at the end of the day.

Very important to me, a good artistic style helps the mood and my immersion into the game.

Exactly why I can't do comic anime stuff. Too much. I appreciate that a ton of peeps love it, so more for them. I'll stick to boring western stuff, or familiar cartoons weirdly enough, and a good story. To each our own.

the only real one i dont vibe with is pixelated or AI, other than that, as long as it doesnt give too hard on the uncanny valley eyes im pretty ok with a lot of different styles

I used to play a lot of anime style stuff but honestly if it's not semi realistic, esspecially textures and colors I'm not into it anymore

I think part of it being that I like things animated

Style>detail every time. doesnt even need to be that recognizable of a style ether...I just want it to be fun to look at.

it gives personality to the game and it just make the game feel unique

At the end of the day, characters get naked in H-Games; so I typically start with the appeal of the characters. "Do I want to see that naked?" is always the first question I ask.
Admittedly, some have said the characters in one of my favorite games "looks like orcs" (or some other fantasy creature) but it was curiosity of the unique style that drew me in, and the fun writing that kept me interested.

You can have a cool story and really drop the ball on writing. You can have amazing writing that never gets around to the story. But the art is straight-forward.
...Subjectively, of course.

I definitely look at art style. There are many that do it well but some that just don't...

I agree, this is the same way i feel about art styles, i always look for things that are appealing to me and i find that is getting progressively harder to achieve

it is getting oddly harder to find appeal considering how much better the tech and textures are

I've found some that I think I'm gonna like and now I'm starting to be a snob about rigging and animation smoothness
