Because maybe your game isn't as enjoyable to experience as Fallout or Warhammer, where a normal person would be dead meat within the first hour.
My favorite game is Terraria. I don't think I have a chance of surviving long enough to see the first boss.

Although if your favorite game is Stardew Valley, Pokemon, or games like that... hell, if it's fucking Pokemon, I wouldn't even think about it.

If I was a rando NPC fuck no. But if I was the main character/took the main characters place then hell yeah. One idea I had for a sort of isekai fanfiction mash-up series with a character based on my likes and personality waking up in a world mostly based around the Grand Theft Auto series but also mentions of other open world crime games and violent anime/manga. The character/my self-insert ends up in a world that seems even more insane and degenerate than the one we live in now. Liberty City instead of New York City, a state called San Andreas instead of California, hearing a news report that yet another massive gun battle happened in Ronapur Thailand. After experimenting and concluding I'm the main character in a Grand Theft Auto game I procced to start acting like a total maniac and getting away with it.
