discussion If you could play any game On-Release again, what would it be and why?

All time favorite is "P.T.O.: Pacific Theater of Operations" that came out in 1993 for Nintendo.

As for computer game its Final Fantasy VII (Original): Released on June 25, 1998 and played it on my very first computer with Windows 98 Second Edition.

Witcher 3. This game was a long but awesome journey.

my experience most games suck on release

you have to wait

patches, bug fixes, optimizations

Witcher 3 got really good after Blood and Wine dlc

If I could play it again when it first came out I'd love to relive the entirety of MGSV phantom pain. God that game was so good I really love that game.

The STALKER games, minus the newest. Still waiting for that to become playable.. >=|

First time playing the STALKER games was amazing. I enjoy horror games and love RPG shooters, but I hate that feeling of being chased in horror games, so ones that let you fight back even if you're really outmatched are my jam. Going through that game the first time not knowing what sounds meant what, running into a mutant you've never seen before and not knowing how they're going to react to seeing you, or how they go about attacking. Hearing gunshots in the distance and going to investigate, stumbling on a group of 5 geared guys while you have a half broken bolt action, wondering if you have enough meds to risk this fight. The progression of finding new weapons, that feeling of getting your first automatic rifle, your first shotgun, your first sniper.

Got into STALKER GAMMA, a massive modpack that combines the first 3 games into a massive sandbox ontop of having like 500+ mods and ive rolled so many characters, logged hundreds of hours. Its been the closest thing to playing the game for the first time.

I would give anything to relive playing Ocarina of Time for the first time again. Man that was such a better time in life too, no worries except how late I could stay up before I was too tired in school the next day lol

I don't see enoug Zelda mentions in this thread, I know is relatively new compared to the other games they mention her but legends of zelda breath of the Wild has to be the best game I've ever played on release.
Just a 10/10 perfect game
