If you could play any game On-Release again, what would it be and why?

The witcher 3 But with the DLCs, Far Cry 3 or Baldurs Gate 3

Oof tough question... If I lost my memory and had to replay a game I would probably play The Last Of Us first. But if I could retain it, most likely it would be Call Of Duty Black Ops 2, was my entire childhood.

Bad Memories, Love of Magic and My New Family.

These three games really 'got me' when I first played them.

Man i love Legend Of Dragoon, wish wish a re-release or a remake, that would incredibly cool

Tonight got me thinking about the 'glory days', and it made me wonder what everyone considers the 'glory days'.

For me, I remember playing Halo 3 at my mates house nearly every night of the week until my parents finally upgraded our internet so I could play online. The memories I have coming home from school, and talking shit as a 12 year old through the microphone to full grown adults, all whilst thinking I was the toughest and baddest kid to ever walk the earth. From the campaign, to the Multiplayer, to the custom games, to making our own shitty Machinimas with a Handheld Camera (capture cards were hard to get). For me, the Halo 3, MW2, Black Ops and Halo Reach and Far Cry 2 days were peak gaming. Thats when life was simplest, that's when games came out complete.

Hands down Dark Souls

For me it would probably be Halo Reach. the story was great the ending was perfect, and the multiplayer was extremely fun. I use to make maps on forge world and me and my friends even my family all played together.

Witcher 3. This game was a long but awesome journey. Knowing the source material and how the game was handled it was awesome. Nowadays I just don't feel like spending over 400hrs again lol

Runescape / OSRS - I would give anything to go back in time and play for the first time again, being a noob walking around aimlessly. r/cutenoobs

To keep it short I think it'd be TonyHawks Pro Skater 2, Skyrim, SSX3

I would give anything to relive playing Ocarina of Time for the first time again. Man that was such a better time in life too, no worries except how late I could stay up before I was too tired in school the next day lol

Outer Wilds and The Last of Us, I know TLoU got a lot of replayability with environmental storytelling, but I would love to re-play it again without knowing what happens.

Kingdom Hearts, I've never had a game series capture my heart quite like KH, I was unable to play CoM, I need to download the rhythm game, sadly the mobile games are gone and my brother never let me borrow his copy of 358/2, but I've played every other game and beaten them all on critical and proud.

The only other game that ever got close to my love for KH would be Okami on the PS2, it was the first game I ever 100%.

Dragon Age: Origins was one of the first (if not the first?) game I played directly on release. It's such a gem even to this day and BioWare's absolute peak
As for maybe kind of an odd answer (since it was only 7 years ago), but the release of classic wow in summer 2019 was genuinely some of the most magical shit I've ever seen in gaming and the fact that it almost perfectly aligned with the covid pandemic and subsequent lockdowns was just the cherry on top. That launch will never be replicated don't think I'll ever see an MMO this active and lively ever again.
