I usually avoid it as I like to self-insert myself in these stories and it's harder to do it as someone of the opposite sex.

Reading some threads I see some people are very attached to the MC and having everything available to themself, but a different question is how they feel about seeing scenes with characters the MC can't have.

I will watch anything except traditional males with traditional males and transwomen with dicks with transwomen with dicks because it doesn't appeal to me, so as long as I can skip that content I don't mind it being in a game.

I like having characters in my house that have relationships with other characters, except that I prefer the MC to be the only traditional-like male character. The games I play either have an option to restrict sex between house or party characters by body parts (blocking traditional male+female sex except the MC), or I add it to the game if it isn't very hard to do. I only block traditional males from having sex. Everyone else does what they want to.

Sometimes if a character is important because of narrative or headcanon I will make them only be able to have sex with the MC.

Oh yay I get to reveal just how fucking weird I am.
I've enjoyed some of the conversation and takes I've seen above; and from what I've seen in other places where adult games can be found it seems to fall in line mostly. A lot of people like to self insert, and be dick worshipped; which is cool for them.
Now though, my answers.

I play for stories, and this is story a lot of the time. I love when we get to see intimate moments between characters that it makes sense for them to be intimate; often regardless of gender. But I don't tend to linger on animations when this is the case.

So on to my earlier comment on regardless of gender. As I have delved into sexuality, I've learned to appreciate that bodies are weird, and can be pretty gross when you think about it too much, regardless of gender. But when you just go with the flow and don't think on things, all of it can be fun. When it comes to my personal interests, I, like much of the world, tend to prefer the aesthetics of the traditional female body; but I am so happy when I see representation of sexualities in media now, even my lewds that I'm more than happy to see guy/guy, girl/girl or guy/girl. And my voyeuristic tendencies make it so I don't have a preference on who the character is, just that I know a bit of their story so it means more to me.

So, not seeing the characters before kills a lot of it for me; I like to know who they are, why they're being intimate. BUT! If I suspect or know that later I'll learn more about the character, I'll be more invested in trying to figure out what's going on.
Same rules for the genders; I don't really care but I'll linger on aesthetics I like.

3) Characters doing things with other characters that you have in your group or house but have no relationship or sex with?

So this is where it kind of fits into the MC vibe. I don't feel like most I think when it comes to stories with a singular protagonist. I don't connect with them like they're "me" unless I get to make drastic decisions on their personality; which often you don't get to do just because that's a ton of overhead for a writer and game dev. I almost always leave the default name unless it turns out to be MC or something dumb (yet still funny) like "Mr Bodyguard".
I then tend to use a random name I can think of, rather than my own.
So to answer the question, I don't care if it's "secondary" or "primary" characters, and I don't care if it's in relation to some mythical self insert.

4) Characters doing things with other characters that you have had sex with but not a relationship?

No cares or concerns, the story is what matters to me. If it makes sense, I love to see it.

5) Characters doing things with other characters that you have a relationship with?

I'm something of a feel good fan so I tend to like stories that don't have a ton of like, emotional distress? So while cheating is ok to see in some regards, and NTR as well; I don't like it being the main focus for the story. I much prefer when there's a solution that ends with the majority of the characters better off in the end; or at least content with their choices. This has led me to really enjoy harem games where the characters are happy to be in a polyamorous relationship, and I do prefer when it's truly poly, where all parties are happy with each other. Not just "I put up with this person so I can be with captain big cock over there"
Romance is a big focus that I like to see in stories, and is not always something you find.

I appreciate seeing some of the earlier discussion, but I especially appreciate @Loliholic for not only showing the method for responding to these survey like posts, but being willing to talk about her interests and why she has them. And it's for people like her that I really wish devs would have selectable genders more often for the MCs in their games and Visual Novels; even if that means double the work on renders, I think it's worth it. Let the girls have their girls.
Same issue with male on male, sadly; but I feel like there's at least a few games for each niche; even if the majority seem to follow the societal norm of men liking the dick worship of their ladies.

I personally skip everything that involves a man other than the MC. I don't actually hate canonical couples doing stuff behind closed doors, but if I play as a male character, I'm only interested in his adventures.
I have no problem, however, on watching girl-girl scenes that don't involve the MC (including the dreaded NTR stuff), as long as it is not considered a bad end. That's kind of a boner killer.

As a result, this is how the latest updates look to me on another unnamed site. Shaded games, which I ignore. The tag “real porn” is also automatically banned there.
