How often do you guys play as the opposite sex?

It depends, if you're talking about +18 games, then, I've never played as the opposite sex on those. But if we are talking about all games, I've played quite a few, people miss out on Otomes like Sweet Fuse and Hakuoki, and, they're pretty good imo.
Same here. I do play games as the opposite sex, but rarely adult games because... well, immersion. I kinda imagine the player character as an extension of me, and playing as a girl poses an obvious problem.

honestly this thread has given me good insight into character choice and designs. good job OP

I switch regularly especially in a third person game rather look a woman's ass!

I am more than willing to switch it up and play as either a male or female.

In adult games? Never. In regular video games it's fine if they're hot, which was common before but almost impossible now in Western gaming.
i say give 15 years before west realised how fucked it is now due to their choices

I've found in games where you can customize the character (like MMO's) usually the female character models have more attention to detail. This is especially important if you want to take part in the true end game, fashion.

If I remember correctly, armor sets in World of Warcraft are designed on female human character models, then it is tweaked for the other races (which is why some of them can look weird or clip more on other races/genders)

I hardly ever play as the other sex, but in most games female protagonist are not got as much content as males do

I mostly avoid it. But if there's a game I can play that has a Lesbian only route, or a solo Son route then I'll play it. Her Desire and Ms.Denvers are great examples of this

When I was younger I only really remember a couple of games where I played as a woman but recently I've stumbled upon a lot more really good ones. I think it's interesting to shake things up now and then since the cutscenes are usually just straight sex anyway. What are some times you guys have tried it and what are some recommendations for anyone unacquainted? Open to ladies who play as guys too of course but I have a feeling that's nearly all of you just due to the amount of games produced with female protagonists at all.
a wife and mother and bright past are good ones

In a third person RPG i'd rather look at a woman's ass than a man's.
Right? Plus when it comes to the various exertion noises from things like jumping, swinging a weapon etc., I don't want to repeatedly hear a guy grunting in my ear, I prefer hearing a female voice.

Many players enjoy playing as the opposite sex in games to experience different perspectives or explore unique character dynamics. It’s a common practice in role-playing games, where the player can create and control a character, as it allows for a richer, more varied experience. Some players might do it for variety, while others might find it adds an extra layer of challenge or storytelling opportunities. Whether it’s in games like The Witcher 3, where the player controls Geralt, or in more customizable games like Skyrim, where the gender of the protagonist can be chosen, playing as the opposite sex can provide a fresh take on the narrative and gameplay. It’s really about how the player connects with the story and character, regardless of gender.

SWF games? If I can make a chick, I do it. If I wanted to look at some guy I could just go to the mirror.

If I have a choice I pick female because they're are more fun to accessorize. I tend to roleplay either fictional characters from books or occasionally movies. Starfield was ideal for River Tam because of the wanted and Alien DNA traits. I could roam the planets using my assassin training while deftly avoiding the bounty hunters The Academy was sending my way.
