A shot in the dark is pretty good, but I guess that's probably more mystery with slight horror undertones. If we're talking about like horror game fangames, then I don't think I've actually played any. Blacksouls would probably be the closest I've played, and that was pretty good I guess.

The closest game that got me a bit scared was Lessons in Love because I literally knew nothing about it and I triggered one the scares/creepy moments accidentally. Still a decent time so I'm mostly for it if its subtle and well done.

If it's a game genuinely trying to scare me, then I'm not interested in mixing that with porn. If it's just dark scary themed, that can be pretty good if done right. Can't really think of any off the top of my head but it could work.

I have played fnaf parodies, and I think they're kinda enjoyable. I think the one I liked the most was Fuck Nights at Frederica, one of the earliest ones other than Five Nights at Anime which every youtuber played so long ago. In term of any other parody that has horror in it, I have not played anything else.

Jumpscares are unacceptable to me in a porn game, but a creepy atmosphere could be a plus. But I can't really think of any games that mix the two well.

I’ve heard that fear and arousal are almost physiologically identical. My only experience where horror was awesome in any adult vn is stormside, and I loved it there.

A little bit of some creepy elements or spooky atmosphere would make the game more interesting if done correctly.

i love when it has dark/horror story, to change it a little from the usual teen in highschool who lost daddy in a accident
but if its just a parody of horror games like fnaf, nah, don't see the appeal on those furry mechanic robots

If they are horror themed I'm OK with it, but no jumpscares or serious horror, I don't want to get scared in these games

I find it pretty interesting when done well. Haven't played many horror games. Only Ravenous (it was fine) & Malignant (pretty good for a psychological horror game)
