Has any developer been asked by an asset creator to not use an asset in a game because the asset creator was disapproving of the subject matter? I get that the asset creator might not have the *right* to demand removal, but has anyone every heard of one complaining that their character is the best known as the over-sexed MILF in a lewd game, for example?

Yes. It happens more often than non-developers think. One of many reasons why a game that is meant to grow uses its own assets or makes enough money to hush people with bribes or legal fees.

Developers have their own websites, discord channels, social spaces. There is a community of people who already like it and expect more, as well as developers who fix it when you report a problem that you don't like and want to avoid it for the rest of the game. In fact, every developer tries to satisfy the wishes of the community they make money from as much as they can. So to answer your question: Yes

Im sure this happens but in all reality, not much can be done unless specified in the licenses agreement. And even at that, Im not going to pay a lawyer to find out not much can be done. Imagine spending 500$ a hour for a 99$ asset...lol They can ask, they can cry but in all reality most asset creator would rather turn a blind eye then to fight a losing battle. Asset creators mostly only care about one thing, income. A download is a download, who cares what its used for. When money is involved always make sure you cover your legal and don't fall for any extortion scams. So yes they can ask, and yes they will be blocked...lol

I didn't expect there would be any recourse for the asset developer. I just wondered if they might be miffed at where there stuff was appearing.
