I was under the impression that it was pre-patched. Is it not?
Edit to add: I'm downloading it to check. The download file is called "JP-EN-TH," so I assume those are the languages on it. I have a love/hate relationship with RPGM games, because they're either very easy to work or require 15 different settings to run. Very little in-between.

That makes sense. I assumed it would default to english but my B. My high ass was using google translate on my phone to read the screen

No worries. I added my screenshot to the Dev Notes spoiler for anyone in the future. Thanks for asking so I was aware it was defaulted to Japanese.
Edit to add: I might have to check the other shorthairsimp games and see if they do the same thing.
