The title is probably not that good but I was curious as to other peoples opinions on a game that they think has a good concept, good gameplay, or something good about it but you personally don't like another aspect of it.
One of my personal examples would be with Degrees of Lewdity. I enjoy the gameplay but I don't like that you're pretty much a submissive pussy bitch at the end of the day.
Another example would be with Trials in Tainted Space. I like the concept of the game and the story but the gameplay is all text.
Any other examples y'all got of that type of thang? Or maybe even as the title says, a game with good concept but not executed well...
Agree on Trials In Tainted Space. "Travel the galaxy and screw things" could have been a lot more interesting.
Of my own:
Simple Days. One of the few games to commit to a pregnancy focus where the pregnancies actually happen and the girls give birth. Unfortunately most of the rest of the game (language, writing, animations, pacing, coding) is subpar or worse.
Kingmaker. Like the story premise and the gameplay idea, but in practice it can be frustrating to work out the gameplay and the dev really really should have got someone to do the renders for him.
And of course basically thousands of games with an interesting or at least serviceable story, decent to amazing renders, and language and/or grammar that's so abysmally terrible it renders everything else a waste of time
I'll stick with Simple Days for having a great harem including pregnancy, that dev isn't afraid of the success of my favorites and then I'll also stick with Straitened Times although its gameplay isn't easy but it has its scenes with animations.
Nebel Geisterjäger. It had the potential to be the best NTR game, great art, great scenarios, interesting story, decent combat, unique peeping mechanic, all ruined by the "submission" point grind, this makes it so that you have to sit through scenes you've already seen way too many times, and also the guy that's supposed to cuck you is pathethically easy to cock-block, and mfer just fucks off for multiple in-game days sometimes, leaving you with just boring ol xp grind to do.
