How do you guys feel when you just started out and then gotten a extremely strong item out of a sudden

Like mine playing terraria and then getting the zenith on a chest

My friend recommended to trash it as it may ruin my game experience so i did

So what about you guys does it ruin your experience or you love it?

Also would you mind dropping a like too?

Its for points grind :3

it feels the same like using a cheat. it makes the game dull

I prefer overpowered protagonists and often cheat money. Games are meant to be played and enjoyed, life is enough struggle and endless moneygrind.
But in games without protagonists (4x, strategy, ...) i prefer to win with my brain and skills ^^

I feel that way. I don't like to have to redo fights over and over just to see the story, so anything short of invincibility in a story-driven game and I'm content. Games without a story -or protagonist- such as strategy games I'd rather play through myself.

I would love to say I would trash it, but honestly probably not. It is pretty bad game design though.

Castlevania Symphony of the Night started you overpowered then stripped it all away and made you build up till you were even stronger. Great game.

I always play on the easiest mode because I like the story over the gameplay, I don't like losing but I also don't like drawn out battles where the reward is the same whether it's hard or not, it's just pointless imo

It would depend on the game. Stuff like a Rouge game where you die, it deleted the game then I don't mind over power weapons.

It depends. If it's an RNG drop game... yay lottery ticket win! I'll never spit on a winning ticket, in game or in life.

But, if it's a fixed drop... it's bad design.

A DnD clone game had me fight a dragon... at Level 3. But I had to find:
-The Sword that ignored its armour.
-The Shield that protected me from the breath weapon.
-The Amulet that protected me from fear.
etc...

So, basically, get the gated items and kill a sock puppet that LOOKS like a Dragon but really isn't one. Total let down. It was on floppy... that'll date it.

I actively AVOID buying games early when they're offering deals with special OP starting loot items. They make the whole early part of the game pointless and feel totally different. Yes, I could just not take them or toss them, but (especially in a roleplaying game) that feels weird, too. I'd rather just not have them in the game.

I agree with lewder32,1the game will get real stale real fast, there's no challenge.

Fable 1? Once you get potions you are essentially invincible if you spam F1 to drink them
