A new important update has been posted covering the Donation Rewards bug, the reset of incorrect Donation and Platinum credits, the upcoming reclaim system for previous tracked donations, and the new Vault freeze/maintenance behavior.
The goal is to remove bug-generated credits, protect real donation history, and rebuild the system in a cleaner and safer way going forward.

I’m not sure if it’s moderator overreach or not, but too many games just have misleading tags. I’m a certified foot freak and look for the “Foot Fetish” tag, just for there to be 4-5 renders in one scene where a background character has no socks on. NTR is a tag that has this issue the most, one scene in an entire VN where your partner kisses someone and you’re seeing 10+ NTR tags and warnings. There should be a feature to explain WHY the tags are necessary before they’re placed.

Well, I understand your frustration, but how do you want tags to look? "Foot fetish - 5 renders without socks", "netorare - kissing and getting groped but no vaginal sex"? You say "it's just kissing", do you know how many people here get angry game was not tagged as netorare when your LI was kissing other girl that is also part of your harem?
Game tags are correct, they are tags, they are supposed to inform you what content is in the game, not how much of it there is and to what degree. If you want more details, read the description, if it's still not enough, ask people who played it about details. It's like that in every other place too.
Because the reverse is a much bigger issue for most people. Yeah, it's annoying when the game you hoped would be foot-focused just has a single scene or whatever. But it should be obvious from the discussions in game threads that it's a much bigger deal for people when they play a game that they think matches their tastes only to get surprised by untagged NTR or femdom or whatever.
Tagging is problematic, uploaders rarely know what tags the game should have, they mostly copy it from other sites or store descriptions. Tagging by how many scenes of the specific content is in the game is impossible.

And again, who is gonna sort that? If game has 20 tags how will you sort that by importance when people have different priorities or amount of content when few tags can apply to only one scene or something optional? Also if tags are shown alphabetically that means system is coded that way, manual sorting of tags may even be impossible with current code.

And as we can witness above you can't please everyone. I think the current system is the best and understood by most so better to not create chaos again by trying to change it "for the better".

I like that they're alphabetically ordered because it makes it easy to scan for the tags I care about. As for the OP there could be a tag voting system where maybe people could vote on how prevalent certain tags are, e.g. 1-3 where 1 is shows up occasionally, 2 comes up often and 3 is a tag that's a main tag in the game. Then you could filter your searches by e.g. something having foot fetish score > 1.5.
That's an issue for every media. Look at manga sites, you have the same problem. A manga with 200+ chapters and because there is one or two pantyshots it gets the ecchi (lewd) tag.
And yes, it can be extremly annoying. Want a game with smols content? Here is a game with 20+ hyper boob women and one scene with a loli. Good luck finding the scene!
Sadly this can only be resoved by either having the uploders or mods doing a fuck ton of extra work (like adding that information into the game post itself after user reports) or by getting a new tagging mechansim that would allow major/minor/weighted tags, but that would bring chaos into the current system and even more work.
But either way, users would still constantly fight about some tags, like they are already doing right now.

The tagging system doesn't really allow any better way, unless one gets an extra "group tag" which would make it even more confusing. BTW, a huge amount of NTR haters fled from F.95 to LC. but because the game threads on LC tend to be less active you don't see it here as much.

Not like there aren't a fair number of those people here- like ErzuzB said, game threads here are just quieter.
And I'm not saying people who react like that aren't being oversensitive. But fundamentally tagging systems exist for the users, and if large and/or vocal numbers of users react demand tagging in a certain way that's what the system will reflect. Very few people get upset over a game having less of a tag than they expected. Many people get upset over a game having a tag that wasn't tagged. Ergo...
The thing is, because how the tag system works, each tag would need their own major and minor variant, which would double all tags and would would make it insane to search or filter for tags.
Let's say you want a loli incest game, you'd need to filter for: [Loli (major)] [Loli (minor)] [Incest (major)] [Incest (minor)] or whatever they would be called.
Or if you don't like NTR and anything related to it, there are already 6 potential tags you'd have to filter out:

It would need a whole overhaul of the tag system and replace it with a new plug-in, which definitivly would cause many errors.
F.95.zone is working on a site revamp and they want to do a tag overhaul too, but even they don't try to implent a major/minor/weighted system, because it's too complicated/cumbersome.
Seriously, I've never understood the point of tags. It only takes a second to figure out what the game is about and decide not to download it. A good description and a few well-chosen images are all you need to know what the game is about.

Yeah, but other people do. Descriptions are good for understanding what a game specifically involves, but most people at some point want to browse through, say, incest games specifically, and a long list of games where you just have to read the description to see if it's what you want or not would be miserable. F.95 for example has like 23000 games. ~3200 have the [Incest] tag. If I'm looking for some family lovin' trying to just read through that manually would be hell on Earth. If I were looking for something more niche than that? Say, gay BDSM incest? There'd basically be no point in trying.
And that's to say nothing of people who want to exclude things from the list while browsing (I have no interest in Japanese games, but that's well over 20% of F.95's library; being able to filter them out with a click is very convenient) or search for a specific game they can't remember the name of.
