The MC from Acting Lessons. He was pretty normal/average guy and was one of the easiest to see myself as. Second is the MC from Leap of Faith. One of my all time favorite scenes is when he is cleaning/dancing with a towel and bunny slippers on. Cracked up on that scene. It was awesome.

i actually like some protags sometimes. Mainly from bigger games though. The ones from Eiyuu Senki or Evenicle. Two of the best adult games ive ever played.

For non adult games, there are plenty more.

None! I find that the Male MC, is one of the most two dimensional characters in the game. It is always the same. You play some boy/teen/man that repeats the same tired cliches that so many devs seem to fall into. I have yet to find more than one or two games where the “male” MC felt like an integral part of the story. Acting Lessons is one such game where the MC had a deep back story that made you want to follow them. Having said all of that, my statements shouldn’t make you think I have the impression that female MC characters are any better. They suffer from the same tired cliches that the male characters fall into, but females by their nature carry emotions that tend to guide their path more so than men.

Let’s face it. We men are boring when it gets right down to it. If we can’t eat it, kill it or fuck it, we are pretty much stuck. At least that’s my take.
