Overview:
This is the story of The Carters. The original version got out of hand, and I am actually in the process of re-writing it. Jack and Sue, a brother and sister who finally admit the truth to each other and this is the story of how they try to hide it from everyone.

Known Issues

ALL scenes are in the process of being redone. The story got away from me, and as soon as I can afford to replace my computer I am going to release Family Way - RECHIMPED!

I wasn't going to post this, because this version is ancient and the story got away from me. I was in the process of revamping it when I had some pretty serious health issues, and then my computer died.
I have since started the full re-write on what I will temporarily call "Family Way - Rechimped!"
The characters will remain the same, but will have a better fleshed out story...I hope.
Also having to recover/replace/find new assets that work...and was almost considering switching out models to newer G8 or G9s...but I am not sure.

One thing I might suggest, add the option to hit Shift + G to turn off powersave mode. It causes alot of frame stuttering on PC. Alot of devs have it turned on by default in renpy. Don't know if they just know about the problem it causes or not. Just food for thought.

No idea what that is...but the truth of the problems...was a total hard drive failure. I lost my primary and the 2 backups for DAZ Assets...
Plus I ended up with severe stomach ulcers that almost put my ass in the hospital.

As for the renders...Most of the issues I had there was lack of experience. When I start getting back into Renpy coding I will look up that powersave thing.

Welcome back, hopefully you can get back up and moving forward again.

I could be misremembering, but I think Ren'Py out of the box comes with the default setting of having preferences.gl_powersave=False (i.e., powersave off). It's most likely that developers generally either don't even know about the preference or don't even think about it when creating their games.

The setting you want to find is listed above. I don't know that it normally shows up in options.rpy, but you can set a different default in that file by using a define statement with the above (and True, of course). The documentation is here: . A False setting will refresh at the maximum framerate allowed; True will only do 5 times / second (thus saving some power). NOTE: I did see somewhere something that looked like a discussion about potential problems with powersave, so I'd look into that discussion (if you can find it) so you're aware of any issues that might come with it.

The version of RenPy used is 6.99.12, so powersave wasn't even a thing back then.

From the (bolded part is referring to powersave)
Quite a bit of work has been done to improve performance, both absolute performance and apparent framerate stability.

When connected to a device with AC power, Ren'Py will attempt to draw the screen at a constant framerate. When the device is on battery, several frame will be drawn before reverting to the 5fps framerate, to ensure updates to the screen are pushed through display buffering.

Ren'Py has a number of options that control display performance, accessed through the Shift+G menu. In addition to the GL performance change described above, this allows the player to lock the framerate and accept tearing when a frame is late.

All good things come back. Good luck

Wow, blast from the past. This was the second AVN that I ever played. Cool to see it is getting a reboot and I wish best of luck to ya, dev.

Sweet, looking forward to playing the game.

No offense to the developer, but why isn't the game in the member+ area? Although other games that can be found regularly on F95 (where lolicon titles are stricter) are in member+.

Looking forward to play this one

Nice, Thanks you

Here is a simple script to rename the MC.
Open RenameMC.rpy in an text editor and replace "RenameMC" with the name you want.
Place RenameMC.rpy in the game folder

Code:
init 1090 python:

    def replace_text(t1):
        t1 = t1.replace("Jack", "RenameMC")
        return t1
    config.replace_text = replace_text

example

Code:
init 1090 python:

    def replace_text(t1):
        t1 = t1.replace("Jack", "MyNewName")
        return t1
    config.replace_text = replace_text
Super cool for the script, doing god's work!

There are lots of good scenes but no animation.
