Dogs for me, they're more reliable. Especially K-9s, they can be trained.

Both. The house must have both. At least two of each (for bonding). If I absolutely had to choose one for a single pet, I would choose a cat and then regret it. (Dogs are more fun, more engaging, but unacceptably higher maintenance.)

I would get a few cats, and that treetower where they can climb and have multiple rest places on every floor.... The one you see on youtube often...

If I wouldn't sneeze everytime I held a cat...
