you didn't specify a breed... there are dogs smaller than cats xD... and well, maincoons are nice, big and full of meat XD

I love dogs, I have a dog as well. But dogs are so demanding and its total chaos.

Always ends up coming down to personality for me.
I was firmly a dog person, but then I met some great cats.

Dogs don't give you brain parasites, though. I think. So that's a definite plus.

I think for me while I typically would call myself more of a dog person, it mostly depends on the type of dog (though less so the type of cat). I love large dogs, especially those with a more wolf-esque shape like a German Shepherd or Husky, though I love Saint Bernards too. Cats definitely follow up pretty close behind, but they are a different kind of experience entirely (at least most of them, I've never had a car which was super cuddly, only those that cuddle on their own terms, even if they cuddle tons when in the mood). Small dogs aren't really my thing (especially Chihuahuas or mixes thereof). Unfortunately most of my experience with dogs has been with such breeds.

I'm curious if size of dog is such an important factor for others? (Sorry for post length, think this might be my first time posting on a forum, despite visiting them not infrequently)
