discussion Does playing Dark Games affect your personality in real life?

not me seen I know it it's just a game and should not try\repeating everything you see
if I play any random porn game or shooter I'm not going to do anything horrible that may take place in the game.

It shouldn't. Remember how TV/Internet shaped your personality in highschool? If you're old enough to play these kind of games, then you should be old enough to distinguish between real life and entertainment

You'd have to have some serious issues to begin with in order for them to affect you. Most normal people distinguish between reality and fiction. It's one of the fundamental things good parents teach you.

i try to not let it affect me but in reality it probably subconciously changes us.
i do stay away from the effed up games tho, they can be extreme and it just feels uncomfortable to play.

I don't play dark games, generally. I played Seath's stuff for awhile, but it just got too much for me. Having said that, it's fiction. If you are watching Horror or crime movies and having them affect you irl? If you can't distinguish fiction from reality, you need to seek help.

No, it never has for me. I've been into darker themes in my hentai viewing experiences for a long long time, then of course found some good games more recently to get that fix. The closest I get is sometimes I am reminded or think of those darker things in more normal life and am left with an uncomfortable feeling, but I do know those things left in fantasies like games are fine. If it affects you as in influences you, I'd see some help and figure it out, if by affects you more mean being discomforted by them just consider that being uncomfortable with that stuff is a sign you don't wish them upon others.

well i believe if you become a rapist it's because youre fucked in the head and not because of videogames. BUT consuming a lot of this kind of content can definitely make you desensitized.
