Does playing Dark Games affect your personality in real life?

I think that these sort of things do affect us but it’s not something people like to acknowledge. It can be an unpleasant and harrowing experience to look at yourself in the mirror and admit that these things do impact us.

But at the end of the day you have the choice on what you do in this life don’t forget that. So just because you might like these things it doesn’t mean you’ll bring it out into the real world. Like they say you can’t blame someone for having bad thoughts but you can if that is their intention.
The difference between games and other media is, on TV you don't choose the dark path - you're not an active participant. In a game, it's all you in most cases. It's odd, but games like Malignant affect me less because I keep trying to steer the MC into a less violent/insane direction and the game doesn't allow it. I actively try to go the good guy rough, even to the point of self sacrifice.

I'm sure you're right, because only a sociopath would be completely unfeeling about choosing to do harm to other charters, even if they are just pixels. My previous answer is skewed because I almost never choose the dark path and never want to do harm. It's a real conundrum though as society might feel the same way.

I think you'll find that your personality affects what games you play. If you didn't have some interest in ''blackmail, rape, forced etc'' in the real world (even if only in your head) then you wouldn't be playing games with those fetishes, and just because we have thoughts about them and play games featuring those fetishes doesn't mean we will start kidnapping or raping people on the street, generally, you'll find that people who have a healthy outlet for their fetishes are less likely to engage in that kind of behaviour in a real-world environment.

So no I don't believe that playing those games affects my personality, I believe my personality is the reason why I'm playing those games, it's an escape from the banal existence of life where I can live out dreams and desires that in the real world would be shunned and probably have me locked up or worse.
Fully agree, it's more than likely you are already into that stuff which is why you would play those games to begin with (or at least keep playing them if the first one didn't disgust you).
Also it affects your choice irl of women (at least in my case), there's plenty fems out there who have the same fantasies like CnC, sub, playrape etc.

It's a classic question. Did Irving Pulling kill himself because he played Dungeons & Dragons? Are school shooters created because they play Call of Duty? I think most people are "affected" by the media they consume, however you want to define that, but only rare, perhaps suggestible individuals are pushed to act beyond their inner natures.

Yes, everything you consume affects you. That is why you need to do a lot of reflection and introspection in your life. You have to be mindful what affects you. There are a lot of unconscious or subconscious things you may not realize if you don't practice self-reflection as a daily habit.

Not really. I think I'm still sane enough to have that distinction between non fiction games and normal life

Nah, fiction in anything, movies, tv, games, comics, novels... it's just that fiction - it's not real.

I love dark games but I don't really think about them during the day. It's fun to do crazy shit in a game but they're so far from real life.

If playing a game changes the way you are or act then you need to go to a psychologist, it's not right for something like that to happen. It's like the eternal fight of the media against video games blaming them for violence, video games don't make people violent, it's just that there are violent people who play video games.

No, it's like asking if people who watch horror movies want to become serial killers.

That's a good question actually, I mean, it doesn't affect me in the way of makes me want to do "dark things" in real life, of course, it's more like in the "fantasy realm of mind" really. But as some people said here, that are some content that does not amuse me that much, it's too extreme for my taste

Na it shouldnt Effect you. Unless your someone who is very easily influence/ with a hint of crazy. Its like people who play war games and all of a sudden they go to the military and think they are the next rambo suddenly. Most people can differentiate fantasy from real. Though i can see someone dating a honest virgin and wanted to i guess corrupt her in a way.

Does playing mind control, blackmail, rape, forced, etc genre type games affect your personality where you feel like whenever you see a hot girl you feel like to corrupt her or rape her?

In my real life, I experience the opposite of what you are talking about in these situations. I enjoy the games and my social life is incredibly smooth and respectful.

Definitely not. I think that the argument that it would is altogether too similar to the same ones made about video games, genres of music, and movies. I'm not more violent because of GTA5, and I'm not in a gang now because I listened to a lot of NWA and other gangsta rap when I was younger.

I think the human brain (especially as an adult) is a lot more resistant to normalization of objective immorality than some would purport.

Overall, no.
But I do think it affects you short term, at least your thoughts and fantasies.
If some acted on those impulses know there was a lot more wrong than consuming fetishized porn

Personally it does not affect me in any way - though I am already a bit older. I can fully understand that playing content with lots of violence, gore and other dark stuff during your formative years (say.. all the way up to 21~ish) could have a significant impact on your thinking and the way you deal with things. In that sense, I think there are (good) reasons to try to curb the consumption of certain type of content for the younger audience.

Not personally, I'm fine I just like games but corrupt if how to make submissive

No for me.. it's like the question from the 80's, where everything got censored cause we all would end up like Rambo and kill everything and everyone.. People who have mental illness or alike, will have problems, but not due to games/movies, but because they have illness..

I have been playing GTA all week, guess i better go steal a car.

I think if its an actual game then its a game, its supposed to be entertaining and over the top for that entertainment. But if your i dunno using photo realistic pictures of a refrigerator and photo realistic pictures of vegetables that you use to "make dinner" then you might get hungry

Edit: That wasn't supposed to sound as sus as it did i promise...
