I like the filter on the right side of Image B, but also think the wide banners for the games as shown in image A serve a better visual when browsing.

I like the visual theme of B more, but I prefer the search options offered in A so that will get my vote.
This is a visual poll. You guys can tell me any features that you want and I'll work on adding them into the picked layout. Stop saying"X has better filter/... features". ANY FEATURE CAN EASILY BE IMPLEMENTED. ONLY PICK ON VISUAL PREFERENCE!

I think combo of both if possible as i like to read what tags are in them.

B. I don't think the wide banners in A add much more than the narrow banners of B. I also like having the tags visible. I get no value from the star ratings. I'm okay with filters on top or side.
Tags, art style and recency are the main things I consider the list page. Once I can see that, the more games on screen the better. The wide banners of A look pretty but consume more space than I think they are worth.

I prefer option A. In my opinion, the user interface here is noticeably more convenient, option B has a less convenient filter system, something I personally find completely unnecessary - for example, platforms. Is it possible to hide them under the spoiler?

Greetings. Yes, as i said, anything that you guys want to change/add will happen. This is not MY latest-updates page. It's yours.

Voting B purely because I have a 32:9 monitor so I have a ton of horizontal screen real estate to work with. Like others have said, I'd prefer if the games were oriented in landscape mode instead of portrait to better fit with the actual image ratios of the games themselves. Portrait is probably better for a phone UX.

i prefer B but would also like to see what a merger would look like of the two.

I'll be totally honest.

The only thing I want out of the latest Updates page is to be able to separate the mem+ games out, and that they are sorted by the most recent updates and not the latest comments, or latest edits shit that keeps happening everytime someone tries to update the page.

If those 2 things are working I don't give a shit what it looks like.

A. B seems squeezed into too small a spot. Default should be on just games, as 99% of the time that's what anyone is looking for.

I really like the games view in A (or whatever you’d call it), but I’m not as keen on the filter menu. If we could replicate A’s games view in B while keeping B’s filter menu, that would be ideal. With that layout, the filter menu could slide out over the screen when needed, so you don’t lose any content or context. This approach would keep the interface clean and intuitive while still giving quick access to filtering options.

I’ve always loved how the game categories appear beneath the game images (e.g., VN in red, Ren’Py in purple). Would be nice to keep them as well. Perhaps we could also consider adding hover effects or subtle animations to make the categories feel more interactive without cluttering the design.

That mostly sums it up. the vertical format may of B may be the thing for tictoc and youtube but for game headers it just Sucks... Remove the crap at the top...

The vast majority of computer users have widescreen monitors, plus smartphones and tablets can be turned sideways. There's really no reason to squeeze information into narrow vertical strips.

However, it's significant that you've effectively wholesale-lifted the game tiles and filter structure from the current system to make your two versions. Sure, some superflous cosmetic alterations/removals but the basic similarities are striking.

In other words - if it 'aint broke, why change it? Improve on what we've got if you must, sure, but the priority for me - and I suspect for everyone else here - is for the thing to WORK CORRECTLY. Y'know, like it used to, and like it did for a short while before the entire site started its slide into a constant trend of crises, errors, rollbacks and sweeping, untested changes.

There have been frequent and justified complaints about redesigns, theme changes, feature additions, a launcher nobody asked for, the P5 site(s), the dead-before-it-even-began "sinhub" thing and so on, all while the most basic and widely-used LC function has been broken for nearly a year.

Perhaps instead of focusing on your evidently aggravating "visual poll" / "VISUAL PREFERENCE" - which seems confusing, distracting and divisive - consider simply producing a working version of what we have now. Full functionality, all the filters and include/exclude and sort and tags and status and categories everyone has been clamouring for for months now. And maybe stop worrying about cosmetics.

Once the ship is no longer sinking, then might be a better time to discuss the colour of the lifeboats.

a mix of the 2 option would be great, but if not posible then option B

I prefer the general aesthetic of a in terms of color and wide banners. B is better with the filters on the right like everyone else is saying, along with tags visible in B. I’m going to vote combined so we can get the coloration of a with the layout of b

I prefer B, I think it's more faster to search cause looks like fit more content on the screen.
