For now, mime and apollo have full control over LC and will be handling site decisions going forward. I’m stepping back from making site changes for now and letting them decide how to move LC forward. - Jack Of Blades

Greetings. About the LU page—and everything else:
Do you want me to show you a glimpse of eternal suffering? I’m working on it.
In fact,
I am working on EVERYTHING.
EVERY issue.

That includes the profile picture issues, the attachment thumbnails issues, and the messed up icons issue.
I’m also working on getting the forum absolutely stable, and on making the experience absolutely enjoyable—enjoyable, steady, and swift.

I am only one man. This takes time.
While you bicker about everything, I’m pushing myself to fix it all, and that does NOT help.

For those who understand this simple fact, thank you for your patience.
For those who don’t, wait.
All shall be fine.

Relax. Breath. Chill.

No one is going to die if the forum is flaky.

Slow down, check your priorities, and work at a maintainable pace. Stressing and rushing will only lead to compound errors.

And maybe stop doing live testing on a live website, despite saying that would never happen again.
Apollo on Discord:
"Site will never go down like this again since ill only do tweaking stuff on a proper test environment"
After which the site promptly went down and had to be rolled back (permanently destroying another load of posts and liikes), and has been unreliable and unstable since.

You're basically inviting criticism and complaints by operating like this, and it's clearly stressing you out. Seems like a self-perpetuating problem.

@Apollo

I don't know what this is all about, but the whole red color just looks awful.
There have been repeated complaints about members who have used their settings to color their font red, making it very difficult for others to read.
This could be changed by deactivating user styles, but as far as I can see, I can't deactivate this.
Red is a warning color and should only be used to point out or highlight individual, really important things.
Using the color red as a general styling object is extremely distracting and creates a more agitated than relaxing user experience.
In short, it annoys me immensely and is also difficult to read.
If this can be changed, I would be extremely grateful if it could be fixed quickly.

You know well that complaints weren't about the color but about the font. Once I disabled the font but retained the red color there wasn't a single complaint.

It was the color rather than the font that bothered me, and after disabling all user styles, I no longer had any problems with it because I couldn't see the annoying red color or the hard-to-read font, so both problems were solved for me.

This is about the page that looks like a kindergarten, far too colorful and playful, which annoys me.

You are the first one, feedback from the rest is rather positive.

And don't forget to backup frequently. Every night if you can. 🙏

Not having a go here, just out of curiosity. I'm sure I remember seeing that a test server had been paid for so this wouldn't happen again? So why wasn't that used and this shit is happening again?

Hey Apollo, I just wanna say thank you for all the effort you're putting in man. If I try to estimate how much time I'd need to fix half the issues I can assure people it's a metric fuckton of effort you're putting in

As far as I understood there was some miscommunication where Heisenberg thought Apollo tested the upgrade and deployed the upgrade without making sure it was tested. That's generally why we at work have the policy that the person who did the upgrade in test environment also does it in production (also because they're more familiar with the issues they encountered in the testing environment then). And then the upgrade broke everything in fun myriad ways and Apollo has been cleaning up ever since.

That's why I'm only speaking for myself and not in general.
Until now, there have been different styles and I've been able to choose the one I like better or the one that's easier for me to read. That's not the case at the moment, and I said that I would welcome it if there were a choice in the future that I could work with.

Thanks a lot, @Apollo !
That's great and it was really quick.

Indeed, great thanks! I know how damn hard you are working to get it all to where we all want it to be. Just don't burn yourself out, it's Christmas time. A time for at least some relaxation 🤣🎇🎄

I wanted to ask, for new latest updated page i cant see anymore the presentation of the pictures for the particular game. There is a lot of information covering it now, i want to turn it off its much worse than before. Can i turn it off by myself or maybe its already in the works to be fixed?

For fucking sake I answered this question 3 times in last 20 minutes but since your name looks like you are from the same country as me I will do it 4th time, just for you - use the button in the upper right corner.

Get an addon that lets you apply user styles.

* {color: black !important}

No more colored text.

So....can we go back to the old styles?

This new one is ugly af imo, not to mention significantly more laggy than before.

I liked the new look; it was almost a copy of F59. It's cleaner, and thank God they removed those profiles that were over a meter long. It's more compact and beautiful this way. I hope people write their texts with normal letters, not with those huge fonts and garish colors.
It reminded me a lot of websites from the early 2000s, full of unnecessary images, profiles that were too fussy, where you had to scroll for a long time to get to the next comment. I hope it stays that way, with a clean, functional, and unique look.

Edit: My joy was short-lived; it reverted to the same ugly pattern as before, with endless and cluttered profiles.
