I chose the avatar from my drawing. My favorite would be Pokémon Ruby, and I still play through a handheld emulator! And my favorite Pokémon is Snorlax because of its personality. I was wearing a Snorlax costume last Halloween . What's your favorite pokemon?

They get very excited for a foreigner being interested in Japanese culture. Most of my conversations about anime and manga with them but they dislike when foreigners see japan as a fantasy world or say things from anime without what it means

Wow! so many questions haha,
-I really like sakura trees, and at the end of March, after the sakura flowers bloom and the weather gets warmer, we go for お花見 (Ohanami) to see the trees and do picnic at a park with friends.
-It would be sushi, of course! Sushi in Japan is a whole lot different experience and taste.( my favorite sushi is Otoro which is the fattiest part of tuna)
I did, drinking sake and submerging myself in hot water, and chatting with people are great! I just cant get used to being naked in front of everyone haha.
-It's manga, I like gore stuff and Japanese artists can really show the characters emotions and their sufferings.
-I dont really go to shrines and temples but my girlfriend is shinto and for special days we go to shrines to pray together.
-Being respectful to anybody they come across and help you with their best effort.(there are exceptions, of course.)
-やばい(yabai) it can be use like oh s*it or thats crazy depending on the context. young generations use it a lot and i like saying it

Bit of a lewd question: do Japanese girls date foreigners? I remember a blog about a western guy talking about his dating stories in Japan and it seemed that it was kind of a cliche…

In my experience, I have colored eyes and beard which makes some of the girls excited but also in japan beard seen as dirty and lazy. So yes they will date but you really have to care for your look and style. Girls like foreigners in japan called Gaisen-がいせん so there is even a word for that lol

It depends on your comfort zone, you can stay at a 3 star hotel for 40-50 dollars a night or stay in a capsule hotel for 10-15 dollars.
for food if you want to try things a lot its gonna be 40-50 dollars a day in nice restaurants,sushi,omakase etc.
to make it short its gonna be 1500 dolars to experience everthing.

for sex shop, there is a lot in akihabara lol. these are not in akiba but close there. also don quijote in shibuya and shinjuku has adult section with wide variety.

Oh yeah nice and crazy stuff! I had a friend who had a jirai-kei girlfriend once. He wanted to end things and she treatened to go to the police and claim he raped her. Being a foreigner he told me that the police would never believe him, so he left Japan pretty soon after...

How common are Net cafés/lan houses there? They pretty much vanished from my country but i hear they're still a thing there. I also heard that is not too uncommon for people in poor situations to use those as temporary housing, is that something you saw?

It's very common; the ones I go to are more like manga-reading places, like Manga Kiss. You can rent a room for 24 hours for about 5000 yen. There is a pc a bed, an AC inside, and a huge variety of manga. They also have showers, drink machines, and hot water for ramen, etc. Sometimes I stay at those places overnight.

I know some people who don't have a house and stay in those places, and some girls work at red light streets and are trying to get back on their feet.

Net cafes are also very popular and whenever I go inside is full, and sometimes you need to make a reservation. They have the same facilities, and pc`s always have the latest hardware.

What can you tell me about Japanese humor and how it differs from Western humor?
Japanese people tend to come across as serious, always mindful of politeness, and generally quite uptight.
I don’t mean that as an insult!
Are there comedy shows there like we have here, and do people tell jokes in Japan?
If so, what kind are they?
Maybe you know a few and would be willing to share them.
And are there also dirty jokes like we have?
