I've noticed most renpy games have very similar character models, and that these models almost always look really high quality until they get naked. Usually the vagina and butthole look uncanny and kinda... plastic-ish? Everything else looks completely quality, is there an explanation for this or is it just reeeeally hard to make realistic looking puss n butts?


side note- wieners almost always look really cartoonish but i don't really care about wieners

Not really a theory. 99.9% of the models are prefabricated that people use and just slightly alter them from base. And a lot of these models don't come with vagina or penis as they are sfw models. So you need to dl a different pack that has a bunch of different vagina models to "attach" to the base model you use, and meshing them correctly is actually pretty hard to do, and is why so many games privates look like shit.

Yeah it's really not a conspiracy theory. And models simply get reused all the time. I have seen the same model not even slightly changed used a in a few games.

Not a conspiracy theory and it has nothing to do with Ren'Py, it is all down to the assets used, if you don't was plastic looking vaginas then only play games with real porn assets.
