discussion can't use mixdrop link

anyone know why my windows security is keeping me from accessing Mixdrop? everytime i click on the link for it from inside here it say that mixdrop took too long to respond?

Mixdrop has always been very iffy for me, so I usually only try that after all others have failed for me. No clue why your windows security would have anything to do with a site that "took too long to respond" unless those are 2 different errors (example, WS gives you an error about it, and at the same time in your browser it says too long to respond). If that is the case, then it could be that the site tried to do something that set off your security app, blocking the site from connecting, then causing your browser to assume it just didnt respond (not knowing it was blocked). But this is just a guess.

If I were you, I would just move on to other mirrors. Viking has been great for me lately, Pixeldrain is reliable, buzzheavier has been decent. Mediafire is always good too.

try firefox browser & install the Ublock Origin full (which is blocked in google chrome) browser extension (ad blocker & more)

your problem is most likely caused by fucked up ads on the site or try a VPN too

Actually, I did have a weird issue with viking for about 1.5 days recently. It was working earlier today though. But for that 1.5 days, it would just spin forever (I actually left 2 tabs open spinning and they were still spinning over 24 hours later when I remembered them and checked). But its working again now.

This is from my downloader, you can see by the icons which I use the most. Mediafire (blue), viking (yellow lightning bolt), pixeldrain (white circle), and some google drive mixed in.

I fixed it. i had to use a vpn. so i guess my isp is blocking it? i don't know this computer stuff is not for me.

That could be your ISP blocking it, or them blocking your ISP or your region (maybe they are blocking the US or wherever you are from, etc).

no, the block is local. the vpn i connected to was also in USA. well the new address i guess

No expert here, but have you tried some simple fixes like deleting your cache or changing the DNS?

yeah tried all that. using a VPN fixed the issue

If you are using a VPN try a different location some times that helps for me but mostly with Gofile I have that problem.
