I can't be the only one who struggles finding games for android, litterally every game is for PC, I'm not the one to judge, but is making the game for Android or ios really that hard. Especially when it's a visual novel

There's honestly a fair amount of games you can play on mobile. As a mobile player myself, Joiplay has been invaluable. Most ren'py and RPG maker games can be played using it, though you'll occasionally run into games that don't work for whatever reason (I'm looking at you, My Futa Family, no android port having ass), but the majority will be playable.

Joiplay will also let you play HTML games as well, though most are ass, and the good ones (like Degree's of Lewdity) will have an android port already.

I did not know you could do that, does that mean you can add in the walkthrough mods to the files and run them too?

Usually. For ren'py games with patches or mods, Joiplay is usually your best bet even when the dev has a dedicated android version

Android makes some sense because anybody can sideload apps. But ios everything has to be approved by apple and I don't know if they want porn games on their store. That might change in the future.

I don't struggle, I play the bulk of my games on PC since I don't travel enough to need them on a mobile device any loonger. And when I did travel, I took a cheap laptop with me for that purpose lol.

Almost certain you won't be able to play on ios... as said above, everything is approved in the app store and they don't allow explicit content. also, joiplay is not available because they don't allow emulators.
btw, there are some chatbot apps in the app store, kinda circumvent the no porn rule, yeah
back to games, you can play HTML games on platforms like mopoga or similar.

For the most part, I don't really know why some games do and don't work with Joiplay. But usually it helps to make sure you have the latest version of the app and plug ins (from the Patreon not the app store) and of its ren'py games specifically, it could be the plug in acting up, so it helps to uninstall and reinstall the plug in. You could also look around on the Joiplay subreddit as there's a lot of info there.

Personally, I'd rather not have some of these kinds of games on my phone for various reasons. Though, I know some people choose to play on their phones/tablets. So, hopefully the engines are making it easier to port them over.

Exactly. Ren’Py visual novels are made for phones. Why would you need to sit in front of a computer with a mouse and keyboard just to click through scenes?

I would not dare to view any "sensitive" data on a mobile device. I don't trust it. I have too little control.
