I'd say yeah, it does have some grinding, but it's not much and most interactions with characters will end up with a scene in the end, and you have good scene variety
It also has a story with a surprisingly unexpected and interesting twist to it, the characters of each of the girls you interact will, as well as the mc are explored deeply
Especially the mc's character with that twist I won't spoil here

There are also plenty of repeatable scenes as this is a sandbox game, and some cosmetic options, like changing outfits for the girls

Okay, stupid question... how do I save my game? When I right click, nothing happens, and I looked everywhere on the screen for a save button but can't find it. I've been playing these kinds of games for years now, and suddenly I feel like a newbie.

[EDIT] Never mind, I found it. Shift+ ESC brings up the menu.
