Last book I read was 'The Man in The High Castle' and it actually blew me away. Had me like 'damn' at the end. Apparently its completely different from the tv series though so i never saw that.

Never gonna stop recommending it.

Never saw the show but from what i gathered the storylines are completely different. Vibe i get from the show's trailer is that its a little more action oriented and explores the alternate history intricacies and stuff, while the book felt a little more psychological and pointed. I think theres only like one action scene at the end of the book and then it wraps up most the character's stories and leaves on kind of a cliffhanger, but the cliffhanger isn't done to setup another book, but for thematic reasons. Book had a really good ending imo

It is more adventure/thriller/detective genre with some action. Overall i really enjoyed concept and story telling but at the end it felt a bit forced and rushed. The alternative history is pretty well showcased i.e in realistic way given Japan and German state of technology/resources.

I'll put it on my list to watch but I got like a good 50 shows/movies to get through before then 😭

Asimov's Foundation.
Asimov is a strange writer, his physics books are almost more entertaining than his fiction. :)
I liked his Robots books better than Foundation, mostly bc Foundation didn't have anything like the 3 laws. He has a sense of humor (several joke books worth), but it doesn't come out in foundation much. I used to have his Chronology of the World and it was a pretty good read if history's your thing.

i recommend doing this stationary cycling on gym and in the meantime watching tv series. Win win situation and you have healthy excuse to watch

Currently reading Red Card Roy an autobiography of the incendiary hard living lower league footballer and later manager Roy McDonough.

I love short stories and serialized scifi and fantasy, but places where you can post or read material seem to be quite binary: either it's all porn or they ban anything more intense than headpats. (like /hfy or /redditserials on reddit)
Where can I discover some good new authors?

big sucker for final fantasy 7 unfortunately most of (the popular ones) em are just time travel rehashes

One of my favorites, Has an audio book version and the narration is great.

Fanfics?

Hard Enough - A good pokemon FF revolving around Brock, honestly done really well

Ghost in the City - Cyberpunk fanfic that i've been enjoying

Arcane: Twin cities mechanic - Arcane Fanfic that's pretty fun, but it's a chinese translation that's getting updated by like one or two chapters a day.

In terms of webnovels, I'm reading so many right now, but I've been following Return of the runebound professor, and Rise of the living forge currently

There are some great works in the Frozen fanfic forums.
Many of course about sisterly love. ❤️
