I'm reading Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman and I really recommend it if you are looking for some light hearted genocide with good character work. The narrator Jeff Hays does a great job in the audiobook as well.

Some generally good reads are the books in the discworld series by terry pratchett. They cover a mix of genres with a good mix of humor throughout.

It's a chinese martial drama / wuxia novel.
I read another book by the same author that was 3462 chapters long.
Took me months, but it was a good couple months.

there are dimensional tears all over the world, inside of them are various monsters, sometimes they manage to break out and cause havoc.
Our man made weapons are almost completely useless against them.
Humanity is able to better themselves through the practice of ancient martial arts, and can also take abilities or raise monsters themselves for battle.
The protagonist has been granted a unique method of entering the Dimensional zones through a mysterious ancient phone his grandfather found in some ruins.
