This one has a lot more variety early on than the original, and unlike all the remakes, there are story arcs with tons of good content that have nothing to do with the orignal whatsoever. In other words, there's a lot of genuinely new content in this "reboot". Also, this version has a VN option, which takes away all of the grind if you have no patience for it. So there's a lot to like here, even if you're sick of all the remakes. One major drawback is I'm not sure the Eric content (which is way different here) is skippable. I can't remember. If that sort of thing doesn't bother you (or if you're in to it), then there is a ton of that content here. I don't personally care one way or the other. There's a lot to enjoy here with or without the Eric content, in my opinion.
