I need a SERIOUS explanation for the new avatar and banner immage rules. It's because this site it's under enforcement attention? It's a serious question. I don't want to create controversy. I just need to know if the site is safe. I find very ridicolous the new rules. I had a fine immage as avatar, ok they were real people, but they were:
1. Adult women;
2. Professional models;
3. The immage It is in the public domain;
4. They were not nude.
So, this isn't ridicolous? This isn't censorious? What law would such an image violate? Have the site administrators received threatening warnings from some authority without jurisdiction?
I can understand not wanting to generate discussion and keeping a low profile, but isn't that a bit too much?

Some fucktard reported an ai image to the server host of LC, nothing to do with any authorities. Hosts don't want them involved either, because they'll lose a bunch of their income and would get in trouble themselves.

Real people, apart from memes, were never allowed, no matter if a celeb, a nobody or something in the public domain. This hasn't changed at all.
Why is that so? This is a site specialized on porn games, not real stuff.

And if you have an issue with your removed avatar or want to explain why your avatar is okay, write a ticket, so that mods can see it and act by it.

well, almost all your questions have already been answered, so I'll just fill in the gaps

no
I just need to know if the site is safe.
Completely, I wouldn’t even waste my time if I didn’t see a future here

the new rules were put in place as a safety measure against future actions while we keep discussing and finding a middle ground. we've already made some huge improvements, but you won't see that on the first page or in the announcements area because we don't want people pushing the line or finding reasons to report us again. you can check out some of my posts to get a better idea of what's going on (a lot is in the P4 area, of course)
What law would such an image violate?
maybe a DMCA (and some small things that aren't worth discussing)
Have the site administrators received threatening warnings from some authority without jurisdiction?
not even close. I don’t know why you guys keep fantasizing that what we do here is illegal in any way, not even if you live in australia, jesus christ
do you know what happens if we get reported? our host could say, "you guys are too much of a headache, get out of here", and we'd have to find a new one, losing a lot of money, that's all
feel free to ask whatever's on your mind, just don't expect a mind blowing answer :ROFLMAO:

All my questions are legitimate.
Fantasizing? I have had negative experiences. I am aware of similar events (manga site closed for loli content by US and EU autority) with people prosecuted legally and jailed for this. This is really crazy, I know, but it's reality.
DMCA? Image in public domain don't violate DMCA.
If you say the site it's safe, OK I believe you!
BUT, I repeat myself..If a imbecile report us for a AI loli image, why I must extend the trouble on safe and legitimate content? It's like "politically correct" shit, like international direction during sporting events that do not frame the female audience or the athletes in particular positions because it could offend someone. I really hate this.
See certain things on a porn games site... mha.
I understand all of you, and you all have my support. I only tell you, I find that all ridiculous.

My abstract math fractal was demolished. :) After that, I turned to the legacy of Leonardo da Vinci. True, in response to my question, I was told that I could use photographs of the starry sky, as well as planets and small celestial bodies of the solar system taken by space probes. Logically, this is not just a public domain in some country or region of the planet, it is the domain of all mankind. But I suspect that the photo of the astronauts on the moon would have been taken down - there are people in the photo, albeit in spacesuits, and we can't see their faces:)

To be fair, without checking it, barely anybody knows which images are in public domain.
So the "all or nothing" aproach is valid, because otherwise every image had to be checked by mods.

You could even go so far to say, the right to that image proably doesn't belong to you and that alone could be a reason for deletion.

Same thing with ESA and Roskosmos.
