It's not abandoned. The dev is still working on it. He takes his time but the updates usually have a lot of content. Also, he had flooding problems this year which delayed him immensly.

I wouldn't say it is abandon the dev just takes his time. he is fairly active on his discord with updates and ideas. last I heard is he is getting close to the end but that could mean another few months before the update.
