Personaly I don't enjoy it at all. That creepy eeriness when there's a formless entity whispering into your ear whilst being completely powerless is so disturbing.

Seriously though, ASMR (non-porn) takes many forms depending on taste, for some people it's storm sounds, for others it the sound of someone eating, or woodworking. It can be visual or even physical (although it's normally audio or visual). Some people like video roleplays of a doctor visit, or a haircut, etc, where a pretty lady is pretending to give you her full attention for half an hour, and talks in a soft soothing voice, maybe not even in your native language, but it's soothing anyway.

The whole point of it, is that some people get a physical tingly reaction to it and enjoy it. I count myself as one of those (possibly weird to you) people. I don't think it's any weirder than someone liking horror films for the jump scare adrenalin rush, or some of the things we as a community are on this very site for, although I take the point of some earlier commenters that it is being pushed down their throats in some places.

ASMR is more like a massage for audiophiles, there is RP and E-Girl stuff but that is the bad ASMR videos, in fact the better ones and as far as i know the most popular ASMR creators are men.
