I love playing my snes when I was young. I was also a big fan of Super Mario RPG.

I still love the SNES. So many good games there.
Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Illusion of Time, Terranigma, Zelda: A link to the past, Lufia
Donkey Kong Country 1-3, Super Mario World, Kirby's Fun Pak and so many more.
But the one I might have played the most over all is Super Mario Kart :D

Ultima (cannot remember which #) and the Dragon Quest games.

A good american one was Illusions of Gaia

Tbh I think 16 bit tends to be better than 64 bit games. Late 16 bit games like Chrono Trigger or Super Castlevania IV had absolutely mastered the medium, and then we transitioned to some 3D games that were reeeeeally jank and looked kind of silly. Like how Final Fantasy VI looks amazing and Final Fantasy VII, with all due respect for the time...looks like trash.

The cartoonish style of the 16bit era aged gracefully instead of the 64+ era were polygons started to be used. Can you even play the virtua fighters/starfox 64 ?

I'm apparently in the vast minority here, being pro-Genesis. It may not have had the big final fantasies and CT and stuff, but it has a ton of hidden gems. Aladdin was also better on genesis :)
Nah man, Genesis ruled. All three Sonic games were awesome, and what about Altered Beast? Classic. Shining Force was a great one too. And Alisia Dragoon!

Snes is 16 bit. there was supposed to be a 32 bit CD rom extension which became Sony Playstation without Nintendo.

Sega had Genesis 16 bit and sega cd 16 bit, 32x was 32 bit but had crap for games. Then came Saturn.

Back when games were good and complete start to finish no crappy DLC hidden content
