The Snes was my first good console. I had an Atari 2600 before it, but it was shitty AF. So, i have some passion for those games, like Secret of Mana, StarFox, Street Fighter II... For some it was the Megadrive the best. I think the console's wars is over with those, so... Any good games to talk about on those?

My view was that Megadrive had better graphics but SNES had better games. But I didn't know shit about shit back then so I could well have been wrong. Really liked SFII and Golden Axe (finally beat it on an emulator about ten years ago, achievement unlocked).

SNES all the way. Secret of Mana, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to The Past, Street Fighter II, Super Mario Kart, Actraiser, Mortal Kombat II, Sim City (that music!) - and so many more I can't even remember rigt now.

16-bit is probably my favorite era for console gaming. I had both a SNES and the Genesis and there were so many good games. Amongst my favourites were Chrono Trigger, the Phantasy Star series, Shining Force I & II, Uncharted Waters I & II, Super Mario World, Super Mario RPG, and the Road Rash games.

Chrono Trigger is one of the best. We didn't had it in France so i played to it years later with emulator.

You clearly never go into gaming forums where consoles are a thing :p

Loved Sonic, Sonic 2, Super Hang-On and Columns for the Mega Drive. Great games, great music.

In France it's finished with the 16 bit generation. Now we play both :p

I still have 2 Atari's, missing my NES though it is the only system from my gaming life I don't have any more.

SNES is how i got introduced into the gaming life and most importantle donkey kong country and super mario allstars were my favorites

Yeah, it's more an online thing in international forums. Personally, I never experienced any "console wars" in real life. If the other person had a different console, it just meant a larger variety of games to play.

We had just the power to ask one to our parents, so it was more a kind of competition to tell ourselves we was right to tale "this one" and not "the other". It was stupid ^^'

We generally had no input (well, I was way too young anyway) and it was more like a family purchase aka my parents played too. Same with the family PC.

Contra, Double Dragon, Ice Climber etc, you could get 100+ games in 1 cartridge

Any of you use the Classic versions ? or the actual 80s machines ?

SNES will always be GOAT man. So many incredible games that are still gold today. A Link to the Past, Mario Kart, all the Mario games, the awesome co-op games, the fighting games. So much to enjoy
