It is a sad day if what I read is true The VN Lost and Found will no longer produce an incest patch. How many other games will follow. I will post the quote.

I hate it, they're so many other games out there with worst tags than incest (ex. rape, bestiality, gore, violence, etc...) and yet incest games need to be patched. Sucks to hear another incest game going down that route.

Basically, I'm not a fan of incest in games, most of the ones I'm familiar with don't really need it. The only exception is Stratened Times, where without incest patch the plot turns into a nonsense - instead of a family we see a small religious sect. In the rest stepmothers, stepsisters - it does not bother me and does not cause irritation. Although Landlady is a heck of a game, the developer should just change the plot a bit, make it logical.

So, are patches just mods made by the developer to increase choice and get past sensors? While, mods are made by anyone to alter non-programed variables? If it's the prior, I guess not much can be done about it. It seems like incest has become more 'taboo' in recent years. Just about all the popular porn sites now avoid it.

Patreon and Co doesn't allow incest. So devs circumvate it by having "incest-patches". Those change landlady to mother and roommate to sister. To still be in line with Pareon, the devs let other publish those, so they are technical mods.
But thats the most they are usually do. Very rare devs change more than those "titles" of characters. The story and text is still the same, because most devs can't be bothered with that.

Most of the time Incest is just another tag to get more players. Imagine putting a single footjob scene in a game, just to get the feet-people.

Just about all the popular porn sites now avoid it.

They avoid it because the credit card companies don't want that and without them most sites are fucked.

I have to say thanks for the comments but as one mentioned there are a lot worse kinks then Incest and a lot of the ones like lost and found don't make sense with out it
