Basically the sites half to pay for the age check system that is required by law but the sites that do not put in a system is seeing more traffic there for more ad revenue and no extra cost for the system. But majority of sites are bending the knee to uk.

i've canceled my subscription & ordered them to delete all my data

i use to pay with prepaid credit cards to remain somewhat anonymous, now they force me to use a credit card to validate my ID
well fuck them !!

i may start my own dating site based on a offshore / outside international waters host

Its starting to roll out in the states as well for me, and I've just stopped going to the ones I used to. There is always going to be shit available to watch, fuck that data tracking shit.

craigslist canceled their personals after a murder or something in the usa about 7 years ago

I live in a state here in the US that has passed age verification legislation. The biggest and best sites have made themselves unavailable because they refuse to comply with the law until a better system is in place. I'm not against age verification, but the way it is now is totally broken. Honestly, I don't know the answer to the problem.
