Except like 99.999999999999999999% of devs using it use the default ones...That's not actually a limitation of RPGM. It supports completely custom graphics, that is, if the dev takes the time to implement it. Yes, the default tile sets can look outdated (and pretty bad at times), but the engine isn't limited to using them. My biggest gripe about RPGM is the lack of 'free' movement. It often feels very much like you're moving around on a grid. I mean, you are, but it shouldn't feel like it.
