Ok, point taken. I don't have to see it if I don't want to. I was just shocked that all the new stuff had switched over to AI generated so quickly.
Its a technology that should allow tremendous creativity and diversity, but instead every bit of it looks exactly the same. You can tell at a glance that what you are seeing is AI generated because it looks just like every single other AI generate image you have ever seen.
Hand-drawn art should allow for tremendous creativity and diversity; look on popular artist websites for fanart of characters like Sonic or Harry Potter or someone, and be amazed at how much of it looks exactly the same.
Digital rendering like Daz3D should allow for tremendous creativity and diversity; filter for DAZ and scroll through and see how many of those games look essentially the same.
The problem here isn't AI per se, it's Sturgeon's Law. 90% of everything is crap, because 90% of the people making it are not very good and/or are doing the bare minimum. So when you lower the entry bar to creating so that the bare minimum is even less, you get a huge flood of crap and a thin sliver of actually good content.
