My favorite AVN with a sad ending was "Acting Lessons" by Dr. PinkCake.
WOW!!! Just absolutely WOW!!!
I have watched/read a LOT of Visual Novels over the past few years, but nothing and I mean, NOTHING, has moved me like this story did.
Absolutely fantastic story telling. The characters were very three-dimensional in creation and I don't mean that as an image on the screen. The animation sequences were extremely well done, but I'm telling you that it was the story that really got to me.
The last two chapters of this VN had me seriously choked up. I felt I had lost a really good friend and following the MC's re-living of the event that changed his life was just heartbreaking. Normally, I don't get too affected by stories that I read (well sometimes I don't), but this one was one for the books. Hell, I was so angry, I wanted to kill the psycho hose-beast myself, but they got their's in the end anyway, but I would have loved to have seen how they got their's in the end, but I'll have to settle for knowing that the MC and friend survived. The scene on the hill and the poem is what really touched my heart the most and I'm a pretty sturdy guy of 64 and I don't get emotional much, but BRAVO!!!! on getting me moved emotionally.
This is one of the most elaborate, well constructed storylines that I have had the extreme pleasure of watching/reading since I started watching/reading VNs.
I'd have to say that if there were an award for these types of programs, I would for it and hope it won on all categories.
Absolutely, stunning writing. Class A piece of work. Definitely worth the money to purchase. As someone once told me a long time ago about a movie I once bought, "Don't watch it for the sex, watch it for the history the story it tells (Caligula)." Well the same can be said for this as well. The story will get you and tug at your heart strings when you get to the part I'm talking about.
Well done to Development team. You can pat yourselves on the back for a job extremely well done.
