Animated Poses or Still Images
Depends on the game and how well things are done. Akaburs Witch Trainer had animation for the sprites and still images for the smut, and it did very well. Meantime, there's dozens of games that try to be fully animated and fail miserably.- Arclight

I've played this for years now on and off, and if you look past the paper dolls changing shapes and tones, the updates are pretty low effort. Most of the actually "hot" stuff has been done, the rest is mostly fluff now. Mods help though.
