I think as well if the protaganist is presented with choice then you as the reader/player get self inserted into the story. Otherwise without choice you can view the storyline as an observer. Once you are presented with choice then you have to play as yourself or roleplaying the MC.
Oh and make sure you get an AdBlock extension for whatever browser you use. Ublock Origin on chrome is what I use. Life changing if you have never used one before. You will forget what ads are.
Just started the climb to mem+. Not as painful as I thought it would be coming out of that lurker shadow. Posting in the Anti-Social & Lurker - Hideout spot is probs the easiest way. Though difficult to find an opening as there seems to be many ongoing convos and I didn't want to randomly post...
Sandbox is good if built properly. Not easy to pull off though. Tread a fineline with being a bit grindy or it can make the player feel lost is there is no direction on what to do.

Platform: I won't touch and rpgm/wolf rpg games. Can't be...
Human generated content would have sources of inspiration for creating the final product. Perhaps based on poeple in real life. Is AI so different to what we are. Not a big fan of the current content style of it however the potential is difficult to fathom.
Usually Male Protaganists is a filter I would use. I like to put myself in the protaganists shoes. Feels weird persuing men as a female protaganist. The only one I somewhat played were the Chloe series.
Used to smoke almost everyday felt like it made me lazy / numb. Especially with working I didn't feel in the right head space. Will smoke here and then but very sparingly. Good ol' beer has been my vice of choice. Find it harder to go overboard and hangover is light compared to hard spirits for me.
