How big of a harem is too big?
Not every member in the harem needs to be equally present. I'd say a main cast of 3-5 LI's and then up to 10-15 reoccuring characters. Oneoffs on top of that as is required by the story you want to tell. An example where I like how the mix is handled is Desert Stalker- Marya

Do you even read story?
Depends on the game. Some setups are so common that I just can't be bothered to read everything. For example I think I've already read all potential setups where a son with an absent/dead father comes home to his mother+sisters. I still play these games but tend to be very sloppy with the... -

What visual improvements or changes would you like to see in games?
My wishlist would include more variety in what faces and body shapes are presented in the games. Too many godesses with the same base assets out there. Bring me some flaws dammit! (But pls keep them sexy 😅 )- Marya
