    Doesn't matter to me if he's got a face. I like a POV character and I actually find it a little jarring when an MC who doesn't usually show his face looks into a mirror or otherwise sees his reflection. Takes me out of it for a second.

    This is why I regularly rely on recommendations. If I know it's good, and the good content is coming, I can burn for quite a while and like it. When it does hit, it feels more satisfying.

    Gotta be a mix. Some non-VN games are fun just for their "edgy" content or sweet content, but VNs are sometimes a bit more of a commitment, so the variety is nice.

    This question makes me think of The Lewd House. There are a couple of different versions by a couple of different developers. One is faithful to the original Cartoon, the other is more of a tribute. The faithful one hits much, much better for me.
