I hate (well, don't play - my hatred is reserved for things that matter) them for the opposite reason - I don't mind wandering a map, but JRPG-style turn-based combat bores the shit out of me. They perfected the art of tediously turning numbers turn into smaller numbers.
Interesting. I never think of the MC as being me. I think of it as embodying another character. If I actually felt like it was me, with most of the games I play (and the way I play them) thinking of the MC as myself would make me feel pretty fucking terrible about my life choices, to be honest.
For me it's not about them reminding me of people I know, it's more about names that really don't seem to fit the character (I think this is sometimes due to devs coming from a different culture to me, and you end up with a young character with a name that seems to me like granny name)
Oh, or...
Yeah, there's definitely a lot of clumsy propaganda parading as fetish. I always imagine they're made by the same kind of dime-a-dozen dudes who call themselves "doms" but are actually just assholes with no idea how BDSM really works.
I actively AVOID buying games early when they're offering deals with special OP starting loot items. They make the whole early part of the game pointless and feel totally different. Yes, I could just not take them or toss them, but (especially in a roleplaying game) that feels weird, too. I'd...
Piss and feet (not at the same time - there's a crossover I don't think I've ever seen, actually)
Not that they're things I'm ESPECIALLY into, now, but I can now appreciate them if I'm in the mood. (And honestly, if they come in the context of some good domination - I think that's still really...
Kinetic Novels. Okay, it's a linear story with pictures. If it's a good story and/or good pictures, then that can be a good experience. Are movies just the worst, too? Should every graphic novel be a pick-a-path book??
As with everything else in this thread: if you don't like it, don't play it.
Gods yes, this. It's honestly mind-boggling to me - when I first encountered that crowd, I truly thought it was some kind of big joke. (Still not 100% convinced that a lot of them aren't just trolling, to be honest.) Like of all the seriously fucked up shit around here, THAT'S the fetish they're...
Oh, and a weird one, a bit out of left field since it's nothing like as extreme as any of the other things being mentioned here, but harem with more than 3 or 4 women. Mostly it's not disturbing, just boring and repetitive, but there's a certain underlying "women are fungible" vibe. And if that...
For me, if I'm in the right mood, I like soft vore, and a LITTLE bit of hard vore, but there's definitely a point at which it's like, no thanks. And I don't even think it's about the violence aspect, - more like, "okay, this isn't sexy any more, at this point it's just about meat."
I voted 1-5 books, but realistically, it's usually more like a total of 1ish book, made up of 1/4 - 1/2 of three or four books. I always find beginnings more appealing than endings.
Oh, I get annoyed by choices that are essentially "Do you want to see the sex or not?" Like, I chose to play the game, obviously I wanna see the sex! Give me choices between two interesting things, not between an interesting thing or nothing at all.
It would be! Obviously there's a bunch of games which involve a sort of push-your-luck stealth mechanic when you're peeking on someone or doing stuff while they sleep. Apart from those, though, I can't think of any.
No, thanks for writing it! It's exactly why I asked the question, because people play games (including erotic ones) for all sorts of reasons and in all sorts of ways.
It's similar with other erotic media - while many people consume porn and erotica as a way to have a wank, for others, that's not...
Yeah, I didn't care for that either. Always thought it might be interesting with a partner (but never tried).
Ooh, that makes me wonder: Are there any "couch co-op" style porn games out there? Like porn games to play with a friend? (In the non-digital space there's naughty dice, and a bunch of...
