    If the rating is really low, with a decent amount of reviews, then I won't even look at the game. I'll read over the reviews if it's in the 3 star range then decide. 4 or 5 starts, I'll download the game if it interests me. So to answer the question, yes rating do make a difference.

    Space Invaders Arcade my Ice skating rink had, loved that game. First real serious PC game though was WoW, played that for a decade or so.
