What Do You Think About Slow Burns?
The thing about "Slow Burns" is that the story has to be both interesting and creative, otherwise it will lose the reader's interest. But most importantly, the VN has to be well written. I find nothing is more frustrating than a clever story ruined by bad writing :mad:- jeff1005

Thanks for the info. On my Win11 machine, the save files are in root>users>appdata>roaming>renpy . I assume that for others running the same - or similar - OS, they will need to enable "show hidden files" in their file-viewing attributes, otherwise appdata won't be visible. It didn't occur to me... -
How do you feel about collectibles in games?
Collecting and/or finding things during a game can be rather distracting. However, if searching for things doesn't detract from the story itself, then the search can be enjoyable. What I dislike is having to search for things in order to progress the narrative; that I find annoying 😠- jeff1005

Suggestion for administrators
With the new format, the Dev's names are now missing from the "Latest Updates" page. Is this deliberate policy (since the Dev's name can be found by clicking the "Latest Update" entry), or is there some other reason? p.s. The new filtering system is a most welcome addition. Porn games where you fell into the story?
Other than Mist, which is my all-time favorite, my current most-immersive VN is Eternum. This is one of the most creative and original stories that I've ever come across. The sex scenes add very little to the story itself (even if they are fun).- jeff1005

Do you play every update or wait until there's a good amount of "content"
In common with many of the earlier posts, I feel it really depends on the VN itself and how much effort has been put into the initial release by the dev. If the demo or first release is 1Gb or larger, I will usually play the game from scratch; if however it is only about 200 or 300Mb in size...- jeff1005
