I like both, The gameplay of the RPG is more engaging and the VN have a better way to transmit the story. But the visual novel that tried to add RPG mechanic it's just the worst..
I check some AI anime games and the art is always the same, I have the feeling that all the art it's made with the same AI model and the same prompts.

For me it was A Town Uncovered, and I don't know why, the art is not the best, ut the story is funny, but the wort of all is that I waste my time, because the creator just "finish" the game without an ending because began a new game.
