There was a joke on discord about this being tagged as HS while it is actually HS2. Season 2 has some new mods added that have improved the quality a bit, but the backgrounds and assets are definitely HS2. Speaking of Season 2, it uses the same save directories and will choke on Season 1... -

Just playing by release date is probably the best. The actual hard core detail oriented way is to sort of play it by "Chapter Release" date. Something like 3/4 of BHH then 1/2 of TG then all of SoWP finish BHH then finish TG. Only the first maybe 1/4 of PA has anything chronologically between...- peyiwe95

The latest update is pretty big. Every character moved forward and there was even some more backstory. Personally I'd like half sized updates twice as frequently. -

It's not too many characters in general, just to many LI's to keep track of and give any screen time to in a reasonable sized update.
