If I had to change anything about tagging I'd make it less porn brained, remove the genre cliche stuff like ahegao and trap and try to stick to objective descriptions of the game. With that in mind I think you'd end up with tags that are far more descriptive of the stories that the game is...
I want darkness but it's hard to achieve so I cover my eyes with a pillow or something. Then to block out noise I've got a podcast running in my headphones on low volume. The podcasts are carefully selected to keep the energy low so I can fall asleep whilst it is playing.
Works for me 🤷♂️
The poll won't let me vote for it but I don't need anything other than cheese and sauce on pizza. If those elements aren't right I don't think the pizza can really be good anyway.
This is a matter of taxonomy, what you want is a porn game but an adult game in general may lean on other aspects to keep the player engaged. Obviously selling yourself as a porn game and then witholding scenes is going to cause dissatisfaction but if a game with adult themes can get through an...
Nah, mistakes happen and the skip button works, one way or another I'm getting back to the place I left off.

A competing engine has to have all of:
Infinite saves
Auto saves
Rollback
Dialogue history
Multiple audio tracks
Replays
Videos for animations

I'm not a gallery user so it's no difference to me.
I guess there's a little extra testing and code a dev has to add to set up the gallery but the code on top of that for unlocking should be trivial.
Seems like there's modders out there who can enable it anyway if a dev won't/
I'm singing with the choir of Ren'Py enjoyers. It gives a great base level of functionality to VNs but still gives devs the opportunity to put in extreme levels of custom functionality. It's also the only type of game I'm comfortable modding which is a plus.
If the game is going to be browser...
Good games are unlikely to go anywhere anf games with bad releases have a chance to improve. The hardware to run brand new games is really expensive and becomes cheaper over time. There are plenty of all time classic games I've not got around to playing yet.
Really the only downside for waiting...
